FAQs

Who can participate?

Currently, we are just servicing folks affiliated with Avatar Residential. We hope to open classes to the rest of the adults with IDD community in 2025!

Is it free?

Majority of classes and open studio hours are free to our folks at Avatar! Some classes, such as the micro-greens smoothie program and fitness for function, may require a fee to participate (see class descriptions for more info).

Is it accessible?

Yes! There is a ramp entrance on the right of the Creative Commerce Center that leads right into the studio. You can ring the doorbell if you need access through the garage, otherwise there is a stair entrance to the main building next to the ramp. Wheelchair accessible bathrooms are located down a long, flat hallway. Electromagnetic Pinball has one arcade room next to us, and a lower level that is accessible by lift or stairs.

Can I teach a class?

If you are interested in teaching a 8-12 week course in arts or wellness, contact Amy at asutherland@avatarresidential.com.

Can I purchase some of the art on your website/portfolios?

Depends on the piece. Some works are sold/currently being shown at other galleries. If you are interested in a certain piece, or want to commission the artist for similar work, let me know!

Can I commission art from one of your featured artists?

Of course! If you are interested in commissioning a work from one of our artists, contact Amy at asutherland@avatarresidential.com. Please let me know which artist, subject, size, preference of material, or if you would like advice on what/who to order from, feel free to ask!

What else do you have for sale?

We have a small merch stand in the studio. We table art and craft pieces at Avatar’s annual winter celebration, Avatar’s family summer picnic, and select art shows. In the future we hope to provide a “shop” page where you can purchase artworks and merchandise.
